The internal memo sent to employees, viewed by The Hollywood Reporter, reveals the studio’s commitment to denouncing acts of terror and hate.
The attack, which occurred as the Jewish festival of Sukkot came to a close, was a brutal and unexpected assault that left communities in Israel reeling. Sirens pierced the pre-dawn silence, signaling the commencement of a full-scale offensive by Hamas, involving air, sea, and ground forces.
The internal memo, co-signed by Shari Redstone, non-executive chairman of the studio, and CEO Bob Bakish, reflects Paramount’s stance and actions:
“Let us be clear that Paramount condemns the terrorist attacks by Hamas. We stand in support of the global Jewish community, and the innocent people in Israel and the region whose lives are lost, unaccounted for, or unimaginably interrupted. We stand with the children who deserve to be children, and with all people who deserve to live without fear for their safety. And, we stand united against all acts of terror and hate.”

As part of their commitment to alleviating suffering and providing humanitarian relief, Paramount Global has pledged $1 million to organizations involved in the efforts. These contributions will be directed towards supporting organizations such as Magen David Adom, NATAL, UJA-Federation of New York, and Save the Children. Moreover, Paramount will match employee donations aimed at assisting the affected region.

In addition to these initiatives, Paramount’s Nickelodeon team has prepared a guide to help parents and caregivers have conversations with children about current world events. The studio will also offer guided listening sessions for employees in need of additional support in partnership with the Office of Global Inclusion and HR.
