In a significant leadership transition in the advertising industry, Nancy Reyes, the CEO of TBWA\Chiat\Day New York, is set to join BBDO as its Americas CEO.
According to AdAge, Reyes will take the reins from St. John Walshe, who is departing from the agency after serving as CEO for five years. This change is expected to bring fresh leadership and strategic insights to BBDO, one of the world’s leading advertising agencies. Reyes will report directly to BBDO’s President and CEO, Andrew Robertson.
Robertson expressed his enthusiasm for Reyes’s appointment, highlighting her dedication to talent development and client relationships. He noted that Reyes has been instrumental in founding a program called “Circle of Women” designed to coach and prepare women, with a focus on women of color, for leadership roles in the C-suite. Additionally, Reyes is known for her commitment to clients and their businesses, as well as her passion for delivering outstanding creative work.
Robertson stated, “I’m thrilled that she will be bringing these obsessions, her radiant energy, and her proven leadership capability to BBDO.”
Reyes assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer at TBWA\Chiat\Day New York in 2021 and has held various leadership positions at TBWA since 2016. Before joining TBWA, she served as Vice President of Brand Creative at Verizon and held multiple roles at Omnicom’s Goodby Silverstein & Partners.
