In a powerful display of star power and unity, top music artists including Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Ricky Martin, Christina Aguilera, and Jon Bon Jovi rallied behind Vice President Kamala Harris in the final days leading up to the 2024 presidential election.
The high-profile concert series, held in major cities across the U.S., was aimed at energizing voters and spotlighting Harris’s campaign themes of unity, freedom, and representation.
Held Monday evening, the event included performances from pop icon Lady Gaga, hip-hop artist Fat Joe, hip-hop producer DJ Jazzy Jeff, soul singer Jazmine Sullivan, hip-hop group The Roots, and Latin pop star Ricky Martin, with Oprah Winfrey making a special appearance to energize the crowd
Martin got the crowd on their feet with his hit Livin’ la Vida Loca, delivering a heartfelt message of support for Harris: “She’s for unity, she’s for all Americans.”
Lady Gaga followed with a powerful rendition of God Bless America, underscoring women’s pivotal role in America’s political decisions, and declared that Harris would be a president “for all Americans.”
Other performances included Katy Perry in Pittsburgh, where she cited her hopes for her daughter’s future, and Christina Aguilera in Las Vegas, who urged voters to “raise our voices and vote for freedom.”
Jon Bon Jovi rounded out the series with an electrifying Livin’ on a Prayer performance in Detroit, encouraging voters to “elect Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.” With a focus on connecting with diverse communities, the concert rallies highlighted the campaign’s goal to unite voters around a shared vision for America’s future.
Earlier that day, Harris visited key cities across Pennsylvania, including Scranton, Allentown, Reading, and Pittsburgh, underscoring the state’s crucial role as a swing state in the upcoming presidential election. Pennsylvania’s outcome is expected to play a pivotal role in the race.
