Gotham has a new Kingpin. To generate excitement for its rebrand, Max has released first-look footage and an image of the series, officially titled The Penguin from Warner Bros. Television and DC Studios.

The first look was revealed today exclusively during Warner Bros. Discovery’s unveiling of the Max streaming service on the Warner Bros. lot in Los Angeles.

Starring Colin Farrell as The Penguin, the eight-episode DC Studios drama series continues The Batman epic crime saga that filmmaker Matt Reeves began with Warner Bros. Pictures’ global blockbuster “The Batman,” and centers on the character played by Farrell in the film.

The teaser, which was revealed today during Warner Bros. Discovery’s unveiling of the Max streaming service, is a combo-platter of behind-the-scenes shots and actual footage from the series, as Farrell’s Oswald Cobblepot establishes himself following the death of Carmine Falcone, which happened at the end of The Batman.

Also, look for first glimpses of Cristin Milioti as Carmine’s daughter Sofia Falcone; Michael Zegen as Carmine’s son Alberto Falcone; and Clancy Brown as Salvatore Maroni.
