A week ago at his campaign rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, attended by 6,200 people, President Trump addressed coronavirus COVID-19 testing in the United States by saying, he ordered a slowdown. “When you do testing to that extent, you’re going to find more people, you’re going to find more cases. So, I said to my people, slow the testing down, please.”
Trump also called testing “a double-edged sword” and repeated the racist term “Kung Flu” to refer to the novel coronavirus. He defended his use of the term by arguing that it was “one of 19 or 20” names people commonly used to describe the COVID-19 virus.
When pressed by a reporter on Tuesday, the President insisted he was serious in slowing down testing, even after senior White House officials said the president made the comment in jest.
“I don’t kid,” Trump said when pressed by reporters on Tuesday. “Let me make it clear.”
Conservative group The Lincoln Project, which was started by George Conway, the husband of President Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway, has responded with a new ad which calls Trump, “The most deceptive, lying President in History.” Watch below:

“If we didn’t do testing, we would have no cases,” Trump said at a town hall on Thursday in Wisconsin, echoing statements he has made over the last week on Twitter.
Now, the President and his claim his comments as “tongue-in-cheek” and insist the President was joking.
The U.S. leads the world in coronavirus cases, a fact that Trump has repeatedly attributed to expanded virus testing. More than 2.4 million people have had confirmed Covid-19 infections nationwide, and nearly 125,000 people have died.
