Kirsten Flanik has taken on the role of CEO, North America at Revolt, the global purpose strategy specialist group.
Formerly President and CEO of BBDO New York, where she led for the past seven years, Flanik is celebrated for her contributions to evolving BBDO to adapt to fast-changing business landscapes and cultural shifts. Her work in creating innovative business solutions for iconic brands has earned her accolades such as “Woman to Watch” and one of Ad Age’s “100 Most Influential Women in Advertising.”
Revolt, founded in 2017 and recently acquired by global sustainability firm Anthesis, has seen rapid growth. This acquisition aims to boost Revolt’s capabilities in organizational and brand strategy, integrating science-based advisory, digital solutions, and high-quality carbon removal projects. Flanik’s mission is to expand Revolt’s impressive client portfolio, which already includes global giants like ABInBev, Diageo, Kraft Heinz, Mars, and PepsiCo.
“I was very deliberate about my next career move. The chance to join an organization dedicated to helping clients transform their business practices for the better was incredibly appealing to me,” said Flanik. “Revolt and Anthesis have deep expertise and extensive capabilities, making this the perfect time to expand in North America. I’m excited to lead this charge.”
Revolt was launched in the UK in 2017 with the vision that brands can be powerful forces for good, driving business transformation through positive impact. This vision has been validated by major global brands seeking Revolt’s services to achieve their sustainability and corporate reputation goals. Revolt has established a strong track record of turning positive impact strategies into practical, actionable solutions for clients such as ABInBev, Diageo, Kraft Heinz, L’Oreal, Mars, and PepsiCo.
