Jenina Nuñez joins FCB as Director of Communications

McDonald’s veteran Jenina Nuñez has joined FCB Chicago as Director of Communications. With experience working on some of the most visible consumer brands and cultural events in the world, she brings an incomparable dose of relevance to the agency.

Nuñez will oversee FCB’s public relations and corporate communications efforts across media outlets and digital platforms while collaborating with senior leadership to generate strategic development plans.

She will report directly to Chief Marketing Officer Kelly Graves and Global Chief Communications Officer Brandon Cooke.

“Jenina brings a wealth of experience to FCB Chicago, spanning traditional, social and multicultural PR and communications,” says Graves. “There is so much happening in the Chicago office, and we are thrilled to have Jenina to help us share these stories with the market in a fresh, modern way.”

N uñez held a variety of positions at McDonald’s, serving most recently as manager of U.S. Marketing – Field Communications & Alignment. According to an announcement issued by FCB on Friday, she is also a “champion of diversity and inclusion.”

A litany of accomplishments over the past decade has helped her earn that distinction.

Nuñez earned the honor of “Young Hispanic Corporate Achiever” by the prestigious Hispanic Association of Corporate Responsibility (HACR) earlier this year.

During the 2015 South By Southwest Conference, she contributed to a panel that examined the multicultural value of 2014’s World Cup while discussing “El Nuevo Latino.”

In 2014, she was a guest panelist on a discussion organized by Nielson’s Employee Resource Groups titled, “Understanding the New Latina.”

“Jenina’s personality and leadership style make her a perfect fit for the FCB family,” says Cooke. “We cannot wait to have her join our leadership team.”

Her earlier experience includes roles at various media and public relations companies including the Zócalo Group, Flowers Communications Group and GolinHarris. She received a master’s degree in Social Sciences from the University of Chicago.
