In order to make a cold Chicagoan’s bus wait a little more pleasant, but still cold, Minneapolis agency Colle McVoy has created an out-of-home activation for Jackson Hole Travel & Tourism featuring unique bus shelters.
How unique?
Put this way, the shelters are guaranteed to give commuter a lift, because they’re ski lift.
Jackson Hole knows that when people visit the premier mountain town, they always want to return. So, they set out to entice new visitors from downtown Chicago (a key market) by bringing the mountains to them through a unique bus shelter experience.

“The ski lift OOH brings the majesty of the Tetons to Chicago and transports people to the last real mountain town. As part of the Stay Wild campaign, we’re attracting adventure seekers by showcasing the wild and authentic spirit of Jackson Hole in a unique way.”

The chair lift was specially designed and crafted to mimic the experience of traveling up a mountain, but still provide usable seating for patrons. Those who are seated are surrounded by images of the epic beauty of the Grand Teton mountain range and the many winter activities that define it (skiing, snow shoeing, snow mobiling, etc.).
The bus shelters will be hanging around Chicago through New Year’s Day.
