Media Capital Technologies principals Christopher Woodrow and Raj Singh joined Construction Film founder Veronica Ferres to host the second annual Cannes Film Festival luncheon celebrating Iris Knobloch and Helen Hoehne during the 79th edition of the Cannes Film Festival.
Held May 16 at a sprawling estate in Biot, France, the exclusive daytime gathering brought together filmmakers, actors, executives, and international tastemakers for an intimate celebration in the South of France. Guests were transported to the event via helicopter before arriving at the private estate overlooking the French countryside to honor the two women.
Among those attending the luncheon were Natasha Lyonne, James Franco, Jaime King, Adriana Lima, Guy Fieri, Katie Cassidy, Stephen Huszar, and Jonathan Kite alongside an international mix of producers, financiers, creatives, and entertainment executives.
Iris Knobloch is one of the most influential figures in the global film industry and currently serves as President of the Cannes Film Festival, becoming the first woman ever elected to the role in the festival’s history.
Before taking over Cannes in 2022, Knobloch spent more than 25 years at Warner Bros., where she oversaw major European operations and helped guide the studio’s international expansion across film, television, and streaming.
Widely respected for blending business leadership with deep creative advocacy, Knobloch has become a key voice in shaping the future of global cinema while championing European filmmaking and international co-productions.
Helen Hoehne is the President of the Golden Globe Awards and has played a central role in rebuilding and modernizing the organization during one of the most transformative periods in its history.
A longtime entertainment executive with deep international industry relationships, Hoehne helped oversee the restructuring of the former Hollywood Foreign Press Association into the current Golden Globes organization, with a focus on transparency, diversity, and global expansion.
Under her leadership, the Globes have worked to restore industry confidence while expanding their international reach and strengthening ties between Hollywood and the worldwide entertainment community.
The luncheon continues to position itself as one of Cannes’ more exclusive off-croisette gatherings, blending Hollywood, fashion, finance, and global media under the backdrop of the festival’s ever-expanding international business scene.
