On Hollywood’s biggest night, filmmaker Jonathan Baker skipped the crowded ballrooms. He did things his way, hosting an ultra-private, high-gloss Oscar viewing party at his historic Beverly Hills estate.
Held March 15 at the legendary Baker Manor, once home to Warren Beatty and Annette Bening, the invitation-only gathering drew a mix of actors, power players, and international tastemakers for a night that blended awards-season buzz with old-school Hollywood opulence.
The evening doubled as a coming-out party for Baker’s upcoming feature FATE, starring Harvey Keitel, Faye Dunaway, and Mena Suvari, giving the celebration just enough industry edge beneath all the champagne and candlelight.
Co-hosted alongside Art E$tate Magazine, the French Riviera Film Festival, and Indie Entertainment Media, the night kicked off with a polished red carpet arrival before easing into a curated mix of networking, screenings, and indulgent experiences.
Among those circulating the estate: Gilles Marini and Carole Marini, James Van Patten, Johnny Whitworth, media pioneer Larry Namer, Sofia Milos, Richard Kind, Ray-Ray McCloud, designer Richie Rich, filmmaker Colin Francis Costello, designer Wendy Syphurs and a wave of creatives spanning film, fashion, and music — including members of the FATE cast and rising talent.
But this wasn’t just about who showed up, it was about how they experienced it.
Guests moved between elevated food stations (from Fat Sal’s signature excess to a chef-driven taco bar), premium pours including STATUS Champagne and Croatian wines, and a steady stream of Instagram-ready moments, including a bespoke Hollywood photo booth that kept flashes popping all night.
And because no proper Hollywood night ends without a takeaway, attendees left with curated gift bags featuring designer eyewear, high-end skincare, and exclusive fashion perks, the kind of send-off that quietly says, yes, this was that kind of party.
Baker’s annual Oscars gathering has steadily evolved into one of the more coveted private events of the season — less chaotic than the Vanity Fair circus, less formal than traditional industry galas, and just intimate enough to feel like you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be.
In a town built on spectacle, this one leaned into something rarer: control, taste… and just the right amount of flex.
