INFOLIST.com to host red carpet event in support of strike

INFOLIST.com, the popular hub for industry networking and opportunities, is set to host the Red Carpet Support the Strike Soiree (formerly known as the Pre-Emmys Soiree), a high-end networking event that promises an evening of connections, camaraderie, and philanthropy.

According to Jeff Gund, the brains behind INFOLIST.com and organizer, “these events have played a pivotal role in helping attendees establish meaningful connections, land job opportunities, complete projects, and transform their lives. By attending the Red Carpet Support the Strike Soiree, you not only support INFOLIST but also your own career aspirations.”

The strikes, which have been ongoing for four months for writers and nearly two months for actors, have pushed many industry professionals to the brink of financial instability, raising concerns about their ability to cover rent, mortgages and maintain their homes.

Several Hollywood organizations have stepped up to provide financial support to industry workers during these challenging times, with a significant portion of these funds going toward rent and mortgage payments. However, the housing crisis runs deeper than just income loss; it is also closely tied to the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Many individuals entered this crisis without financial reserves or were already behind on their rent, exacerbating the problem. In areas where eviction moratoriums have been lifted, people are receiving three-day eviction notices, intensifying the housing instability.

As of August 25, the Entertainment Community Fund (ECF) has disbursed over $5.4 million to more than 2,600 film and TV workers, with the majority of requests to prevent evictions. The Motion Picture & Television Fund (MPTF) has also increased its financial aid efforts, providing $1,500 grants and helping applicants create monthly budgets. However, even with these grants, the high average rent in Los Angeles, which stands at $3,000, poses a significant challenge.

Gund adds that a significant portion of the proceeds from this exclusive event will be donated to two vital industry funds: the SAG-AFTRA Emergency Financial Assistance and Disaster Relief Fund and the Entertainment Community Fund.

Star-Studded Event

The event will feature a star-studded lineup of special guests, including SAG-AFTRA Negotiating Committee Member Nicole Cyrille, acclaimed screenwriter of the Oscar-nominated Meet the Parents, Jim Herzfeld, and versatile actor Ken Davitian (known for his roles in Borat, Cobra Kai, and Meet the Spartans).

Joining them will be Talent Agent Michael Eisenstadt (Amsel, Eisenstadt, Frazier & Hinojosa, Inc. Talent Agency), Executive Producer of the Superman franchise Ilya Salkind, Composer/Music Editor Shie Rozow (credited for Avengers: Age of Ultron, Hellboy 2, and Corpse Bride), music artist Katherine Ho (famous for Yellow in Crazy Rich Asians), EMMY-WINNING Producer/Writer/Director Gregori J. Martin (known for the EMMY-WINNING The Bay), Janeshia Adams-Ginyard (featured in Wakanda Forever, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Black Panther), Kristanna Loken (renowned for her role as “T-X” in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines), Music Exec Steve Owens (credited with 43 Platinum and Gold Records including Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen, Lionel Richie, George Michael, and Journey), EMMY-WINNING Makeup Artist Douglas Noe (known for Loki, Avengers: Endgame, and The Hunger Games” franchise), Naomi Grossman (starring as “Pepper” in American Horror Story), Exec Producer/Writer Patrick Doody (known for the EMMY-WINNING Nailed It! and Silent Hill Homecoming video game), Leilani Shiu (“Teeka the Jawa” in Obi-Wan Kenobi), Sean Tretta (Co-Executive Producer of Star Trek: Picard), Jessica Lee (remembered as Suitcase #16 on Deal or No Deal), Ken Foree (known for his role in Day of the Dead), Jon Bailey (the voice of Optimus Prime in Transformers anime & video games), and many more from the realms of Music, Fashion, and major Influencers. There are still many more exciting announcements to come!

Gund adds that attending this event, including walking the red carpet, is PERMITTED BY SAG & WGA and does not violate strike requirements and guidelines. Get Your Tickets here.
