ICF Next creates “Escape Room” to escape to Belize

Not the biggest fan of Escape Rooms. I went to one with my wife on for my birthday and needless to say, we didn’t escape.

But thanks to Minneapolis-based customer experience agency ICF Next, I would be willing to rethink the concept especially if escaping to Belize is involved.

The agency has been creating provocative work for the tourism board for six years now. Instead of creating an escape room filled with zombies or vampire, the agency has created a pop-up experience for the Belize Tourism Board that came with a twist: solving it was ridiculously easy.

The room which appeared at Los Angeles’ Hollywood & Highland from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, and now is in Minneapolis has lured hundreds of people into the escape room for the chance to win a prize package that included round-trip airfare and accommodations for a four-night stay in Belize for two. Watch the video below:

“The ever-increasing availability of nonstop flights to Belize means travelers across America can find themselves in our country within a few hours after their initial departure, leaving more time for one-of-a-kind experiences,” said Karen Bevans, Director of Tourism, Belize Tourism Board, in a statement. “We are proud to have so many great airline partners operating nonstop service, and we hope to add even more routes in the future.”
