IATSE to host food drive for striking workers

In light of the ongoing work stoppage affecting numerous individuals in the entertainment industry, the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) West Coast Office, in partnership with the LA Food Bank and LA County Federation of Labor, will be organizing a food drive on Friday, July 28, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

IATSE’s food drive is intended for all union workers in the entertainment industry and their families who have been impacted by the work stoppage.

No membership ID will be required to receive food assistance. The event will be held at the IATSE West Coast Office located at 2210 W Olive Ave, Burbank, CA 91506. Attendees are requested to access the parking lot from W. Olive Ave, where volunteers will provide a box of food for each vehicle. Drivers can then exit via W. Oak St.

Not since 1960, since Ronald Reagan was SAG president have the two unions struck against Hollywood together.
