How Newspapers reported Joe Biden’s win

Running on a message of unity, inclusion and healing, Joe Biden, Jr. was elected the 46th President of a deeply divided United States. He and Vice-President elect Kamala Harris were declared winners after an exhausting and at times personally insulting campaign. During a pandemic.

And even while President Trump continues to tweet out that he won the election, or the election is fraud or he wants a recount, newspapers around the country reported on the historic win.

Historic on many levels – Biden is the oldest president to ever be elected at 77, Harris is the not only the first woman to hold the second most powerful seat in the country, but the first woman of color and the ticket received the most votes ever for a someone challenging an incumbent president.
