Hillary Kew Martell returns to Audio Post, joining Sound Goods

Hillary Kew Martell

Senior Mixer and Sound Designer Hillary Kew Martell is back, making her return to the world of brand and agency audio work as she joins the team at Sound Goods. Announced by partners Weston Fonger and Angelina Powers, this marks a reunion for Kew Martell and Fonger, who previously worked together at audioEngine in New York.

Kew Martell, whose career has seen her collaborate with top studios like Nutmeg Post and Photomag, has an impressive portfolio featuring iconic projects for brands like Nike, Mercedes Benz, and Coca-Cola, including her work on the legendary “Happiness Factory” Super Bowl spot.

After stepping away to focus on her family in Baltimore, she’s now set to reconnect with the ad world. “When Weston and I reconnected and I learned about Sound Goods, it felt like a perfect fit,” Kew Martell shared. “I’m excited to jump back into this space, working with someone I consider a friend first and a colleague second.”

Sound Goods co-founder Angelina Powers highlighted how recent industry changes—especially remote collaboration—make this an ideal time for Kew Martell’s return. “Hillary is a total powerhouse, and we’re beyond thrilled to have her back in action.”

While based in Baltimore, Kew Martell will work on major Sound Goods projects remotely, bringing her rich experience and talent back to the table, blending traditional studio support with the independence that comes from working remotely.

Her journey from studying cello at Johns Hopkins’ Peabody Conservatory to becoming a top-tier sound designer speaks to her passion for merging music and visual arts, which continues to drive her today.

For Sound Goods, this marks a major win, with Powers summing it up: “We hit the jackpot with Hillary.”

Reel 360 News wishes Hilary the best of luck on her return.
