How I Met Your Mother and Forgetting Sarah Marshall star Jason Segal is rumored to appear in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law as Ben Grimm aka The Thing in the last 3 episodes of the series coming to Disney+ on August 17, 2022.

The series follows Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) who navigates the complicated life of a single, 30-something attorney who also happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk. Mark Ruffalo will be reprising his role as Bruce Banner in all of the episodes and other cast members include Jameela Jamil as Titania, Tim Roth as Abomination, Josh Segarra, Ginger Gonzaga, and Griffin Matthews. Benedict Wong is also reprising his role as Wong in one episode.

Ben Grimm was an astronaut and former USAF test pilot who was exposed to high levels of cosmic radiation when his best friend, scientist Dr. Reed Richards took him and his friends into space in the stolen rocket; Marvel-1. The radiation mutated him and his friends, turning him into a super-strong rock like monster known as The Thing.

The rumor about Segel hit twitter after a post on 4Chan, of all places, was shared on Reddit, making the claim.

It’s also been rumored that the villainous group, Wrecking Crew, which includes Wrecker, Bulldozer, Piledriver, and Thunderball will be in the show as well. In the comics, Wrecking Crew has often gone toe-to-toe with The Thing and has battled against the Fantastic Four, which might lend credence to this 4Chan rumor.

REELated: Rebecca Romijn, Jerry O’Connell to host Real Love Boat

This isn’t the first time a member of the Fantastic Four could be featured in the MCU. Our very own episode of What if…?, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness showed fans John Krasinski’s Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic.

Between Howard Stern accidentally spoiling that he’s “doing Doctor Doom” on a hot mic and Krasinski’s appearance in Multiverse of Madness as Mister Fantastic, it’s entirely possible that we will be introduced to more members of the Fantastic Four in upcoming MCU projects, including She-Hulk

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will stream exclusively on Disney+ beginning on August 17, 2022.
