(Hadid donates to Preemptive Love Coalition for Ramadan)
American born supermodel, Bella Hadid, made a show of support in the form of a donation to Preemptive Love Coalition in honor of Eid Al Fitr. Eid Al Fitr is a day of celebration marking the end of Ramadan a month of fasting and prayer observed by Muslims worldwide.
The model shared a heartfelt message on Saturday, May 24th to her Instagram account sharing the news and the meaning of the holiday. In it she stated that this time of year carried with it special memories of her childhood fasting with her father and her “Teta.” She wrote, “It makes my heart break thinking about children and families who are separated and unable to unite during the time. I want these children to know that they are so special and that there are people here that care about them.”
The Preemptive Love Coalition was founded by Jeremy Courtney and his wife Jessica over a decade ago after moving to Iraq in the middle of war. Preemptive Love Coalition is on the front-lines in areas ravaged by conflict stretching across Iraq, Syria, the United States, and beyond. Relying mainly on donations, they bring life saving aid to refugees and their families providing shelter to remake homes, medical care and vital supplies.

Through a unique program, they also provide the capital to help create jobs resulting in thousands of businesses, transforming communities and providing hope for their future.
“When the world feels out of control and people everywhere are considering giving up hope altogether, Bella drops in and reminds us all that matters and calls us to love anyway. Preemptive Love couldn’t do what we do all over the world, providing relief on the front lines of war and revolutionizing the way refugees work, without friends like Bella. Influence at its best… giving it away, lifting others up,” said Courtney.
Hadid is the daughter of Dutch born Yolanda and Muhammad Hadid who is of Palestinian descent.
