FKA twigs wields a sword in elegant, ‘Sad Day’ video

Doomsday Entertainment, along with production partners Makeready, Kindred Spirit and Super Frog, and Doomsday roster director Hiro Murai (This Is America, Guava Island) lead acclaimed musical artist FKA twigs on a swordsman’s chase through a gritty cityscape in the 7:34 music video for Sad Day.

In gracefully choreographed sweeps and flying leaps in the night, FKA twigs pursues her target (played by Teake) in the style of an ancient Chinese martial arts called wushu, ultimately locking blades with her combatant in twin death blows before she wakes, uninjured and alone.

Murai made global headlines with the Childish Gambino music video This Is America, earning the coveted director Best Music Video at the 2019 Grammy Awards. Watch below
