Filmsupply announces the launch of Edit Fest

Filmsupply
(Filmsupply launches Editing Contest)

Filmsupply, the premium footage licensing company disrupting the production industry, has announced the launch of Edit Fest

As part of this editing competition, an award-winning Filmsupply director will lead the charge to make a music video for a Musicbed artist. Filmsupply will then share the footage with their community of commercial editors to see who can create the best edit.

For context, Musicbed, Filmsupply’s sister company, licenses top-quality music to filmmakers, brands, ad agencies, and TV studios. The company’s A&R team curates their roster of indie musicians, bands, and composers to supply label-quality music to creatives.

Industry-leading judges (to be announced in the coming weeks) will review the submissions. Winners will receive cash prizes and the chance to have their name on the credits of the winning music videos. The judges will determine winners across categories, including Best Color, Best VFX, and the ultimate winner: the Best Edit, which will receive a $10,000 prize.

REELated: Hooligan editor Kane Platt works on Discovery+ doc about medical workers

Submissions open today and close October 8th at 12:00 PM CT, with voting taking place between October 13th and 22nd.

Once the submissions close, the 25 finalists will go live on the site for People’s Choice voting. Winners will get announced October 27th at 12:00 PM CT.
