Cultivate.Media is adding filmmaker Jon Schwartz. Known for his dynamic visual storytelling and innovative approach, Schwartz brings a wealth of experience to the award-winning commercial and content production company overseen by Managing Director/Executive Producer Mark Thomas and Executive Producer Stuart Wilson.

Schwartz’s journey as a filmmaker traces back to his roots in western Connecticut, where he found inspiration in the vibrant energy of skateboarding culture. Rather than risking injury attempting tricks himself, Schwartz immersed himself in the world of cinematography, capturing the adrenaline-fueled moments of his friends’ skateboarding exploits.

This early passion for visual storytelling evolved into a fascination with music videos, where he dissected the intricacies of shot composition, lighting, and narrative structure.

After honing his craft through film school in Chicago, Schwartz ventured to Los Angeles, where he transitioned from producing social media spots to larger-budget broadcast commercials. His creative evolution led him to embrace new challenges, incorporating elements of light VFX and motion control into his work to push the boundaries of visual storytelling.

“Jon is a smart and evolutionary filmmaker,” remarked Stuart Wilson. “He is attuned to the marketplace, while always striving to explore new creative territories.”

Schwartz’s enthusiasm for problem-solving and technical innovation aligns seamlessly with Cultivate.Media’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of commercial and content production. As Schwartz embarks on this new chapter with Cultivate, he looks forward to tackling creative and technical challenges with enthusiasm and ingenuity.

“The next challenge is always the most fun,” Schwartz expressed. “I enjoy solving the mathematical challenges of motion control and exploring emotion through different lenses. I hate math but love motion control. Who knew?”

With Jon Schwartz joining the ranks, Cultivate.Media reinforces its position as a leading force in the industry, dedicated to delivering compelling visual narratives that captivate audiences and inspire action.
