Fela’s Emma Higgins directs Rockstar Energy’s athlete-fueled campaign

Rockstar

Fela director Emma Higgins brings a serious edge and style to the latest campaign for Rockstar Energy, developed by creative agency Makers. Featuring emerging athletic stars Charley Hull, Cory Juneau, and Lia Block, the spots showcase how Rockstar fuels the mental focus and physical drive needed to excel on the course, the board, and the track.

From blistering race circuits to sun-drenched skateparks to elite golf greens, Higgins infuses each film with bold personality and dynamic energy, integrating the Rockstar brand into the athletes’ daily routines. The result is a campaign that feels fresh, authentic, and visually compelling—an ideal match for Rockstar’s brand ethos.

Meet the Athletes:

  • Charley Hull, 29, is a powerhouse English golfer who claimed Rookie of the Year honors and championship status on the European circuit before turning 18.
  • Lia Block, 18, is a rising American race car driver currently making waves in the F1 Academy.
  • Cory Juneau, 25, is a decorated professional skateboarder and Olympic bronze medalist in men’s park from the Tokyo 2020 Games.

“I started out acting in commercials as a teenager, so I always strive to create a space where talent—especially non-actors—can thrive,” said Higgins. “With Charley, Lia, and Cory, I wanted to genuinely understand their worlds. That trust allowed us to collaborate in a way that felt natural and exciting. I’m incredibly proud of what we made together for Rockstar—and I had a blast doing it.”

Higgins, known for her vibrant music videos and cinematic commercial style, continues her ascent in long-form storytelling. Her debut feature film Sweetness premiered at SXSW 2025 to strong reviews, marking a new chapter in her already multifaceted directing career.
