The world tour for James Gunn’s Superman officially took flight in the Philippines, where lucky fans were treated to a special event featuring 30 minutes of footage from the upcoming DC Studios reboot. Gunn and stars David Corenswet (Clark Kent/Superman) and Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane) were on hand for the event in Manila, kicking off the promotional campaign with flying colors—and a soaring new theatrical poster to match
While a full breakdown of the screened material hasn’t hit the internet (yet), early word from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive. The footage reportedly comes from early in the film—though not the opening scenes—and smartly avoids any major plot reveals. Instead, fans praised the tone, visual style, and character chemistry, with many calling it a perfect blend of heart, humor, and heroism.
Accompanying the event was the release of a new retro-style poster evoking the spirit of Richard Donner’s 1978 Superman: The Movie. The one-sheet places Corenswet’s Superman front and center, with the supporting cast—Lois, Lex, and others—lined up below in a painterly homage that merges classic iconography with Gunn’s modern sensibility.

A leaked teaser from the event surfaced briefly online, though it reportedly included only one new shot—Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor in a blink-and-you-miss-it moment. Here are some photos from the Manila junket:

Superman also stars Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern Guy Gardner, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Pruitt Taylor Vince and Neva Howell as Jonathan and Martha Kent, and Milly Alcock as Supergirl, who is set to headline her own spin-off film, Woman of Tomorrow.
With ticket pre-sales already soaring past $10 million and early box office projections ranging between $95M–$135M for opening weekend, Superman is poised to be a powerful relaunch for the newly minted DC Universe.
James Gunn shared heartfelt reflections when production wrapped late last year: “I set out to make a movie about a good man in a world that isn’t always so much. The goodness and kindness and love I’ve encountered on set inspired me every day. The destination has been Superman, but the journey has been everything.” Warner Bros and DC Studios also released more character posters:

Official Synopsis: In his signature style, James Gunn takes on the original superhero in the newly imagined DC Universe with a singular blend of epic action, humor and heart—delivering a Superman who’s driven by compassion and an inherent belief in the goodness of humankind.
