Eleven recreates Black icons for Black History Month

For Black History Month, Eleven Inc. reportedly wanted to celebrate African American history from a different perspective – by recreating African American heroes in purely African terms – As African gods.

They succeeded.

Featuring the likenesses of Muhammad Ali, Dr. Maya Angelou, Harriet Tubman and W.E.B Du Bois, the creative team put up large-sized posters near their offices in the financial district, and printed smaller sizes to hand out to folks for free. Take a look at the inspiring images below:
