It’s been six years since we last saw meth king cooker Walter White (played by Bryan Cranston) kill off the Aryan Brotherhood and rescue his partner in crime (literally) Jesse Pinkman (played by Aaron Paul).
When White died and we faded to black, many thought that was the end of Breaking Bad. But Pinkman did get away in Todd Alquist’s (Jesse Plemons) El Camino, thus leaving the door open for a new story one day.
Thanks to Netflix, that day is now here.
El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie is scheduled to premiere on the streaming giant Oct. 11, the company announced on Saturday.
According to a synopsis provided by Netflix, the sequel will focus on Pinkman. “In the wake of his dramatic escape from captivity, Jesse must come to terms with his past in order to forge some kind of future. This gripping thriller is written and directed by Vince Gilligan, the creator of Breaking Bad.” Watch the trailer below:

“It’s a chapter of Breaking Bad that I didn’t realize that I wanted,” Paul said in an interview with the New York Times. “And now that I have it, I’m so happy that it’s there.”
As with Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, production for El Camino took place in and around Albuquerque. Last year, publications like the Albuquerque Journal got wind of a movie being filmed under the code name “Greenbrier” and quickly deduced that it was connected to Breaking Bad.
Fans have been demanding any information they could get about the film (and when it would come), even believing that a cryptic social media photo from series stars Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston in July was a prelude to an announcement. It was… but for their new tequila company.
Cranston, however, has confirmed that Walter White is most DEAD.
After the premiere on Netflix, the film is expected to be broadcast at a later date on AMC.
