Droga5 taps Ann-Christine Diaz as Global Head of Reputation and Excellence

Droga5 Ann-Christine Diaz

Droga5, part of Accenture Song, has appointed Ann-Christine Diaz as global head of reputation and creative excellence, a new role that underscores the agency’s expanded international vision.

Ann-Christine joins from McCann Worldgroup, where she was global head of creative content and reputation, and previously served as global director of creative excellence. Before that, she spent more than a decade at Ad Age, where she became one of the industry’s most respected voices as creativity editor, covering agencies, brands, and some of the biggest stories in advertising.

Reporting to Droga5 worldwide CCO Pelle Sjoenell and global CEO Mark Green, Ann-Christine will be responsible for advancing the agency’s creative standards while overseeing marketing and communications to support both Droga5’s reputation and its clients’ impact. She will be based in the U.S.

Mark Green noted, “When David [Droga] opened the doors to Droga5, the first person he trusted to tell that story was Ann-Christine. She understands our ambition and the foundation we were built on. Now she’s here to help us live up to that ambition.”

Pelle Sjoenell added, “Ann-Christine is beloved in the industry because she always puts creativity — and the people behind it — first. She’s endlessly curious, knows talent, and brings the rigor and passion needed to push work forward.”

Reflecting on her new role, Ann-Christine shared, “As a journalist, I spent years writing about Droga5 because it always made an outsize impact. Now, stepping inside, I feel a huge responsibility to help ensure that creative legacy endures. With the resources of Accenture Song and the talent already here, the potential is limitless.”

Her appointment comes as Droga5 continues to build out a global leadership team that includes Sjoenell, Green, and global chief strategy officer Emma Montgomery. The transition follows the news that founder David Droga will move into the role of vice chair at Accenture after stepping down as CEO of Accenture Song.

Ann-Christine’s move to Droga5 not only marks a homecoming of sorts but also signals the agency’s intent to double down on creativity at a global scale.

Reel 360 News wishes Ann-Christine every success as she embarks on this exciting new chapter.
