This milestone positions Shaffar as one of the industry’s most promising emerging talents. Known for his vibrant and innovative style, Shaffar’s work has resonated deeply with Gen-Z and Millennial audiences, earning him acclaim across the industry.
Originally from Irvine, California, Shaffar’s filmmaking passion began at Northwood High School through the FilmEd Academy of the Arts program. He continued honing his craft at Loyola Marymount University, where he earned a degree in Film and Television Production. It was during his time at LMU that he formed a pivotal partnership with Cole Sanchez, now a staff producer at SixTwentySix, who played a key role in Matt’s journey to becoming a director.
Reflecting on his journey, Shaffar said, “Years ago, SixTwentySix co-founders Jake Krask and Austin Barbera plucked me out from a haystack and have since been guiding and nurturing me into the director I am today. I have absolute certainty in the future success of SixTwentySix; it’s rooted in the unwavering support Jake and Austin offer to every creative involved. Their leadership ignites a fire within us, propelling us to face any obstacle head-on, and emerge triumphant. I’m proud to be a part of the SixTwentySix family and ready to revolutionize the game with them.”
Shaffar’s work is celebrated for its dynamic, colorful, and modern aesthetic. His goal is to create content that reflects the zeitgeist and connects authentically with contemporary audiences. Leveraging cutting-edge production techniques, he crafts lively and engaging narratives that captivate viewers worldwide.
