DeFiance Media, Galaxy Cable to air NFTY awards

The Academy of Digital Art, Sciences & Culture (ADASC) announced that it has partnered with DeFiance Media and Comcast affiliate Galaxy Digital Cable to air The NFTY Awards, after the live-interactive, pay-per-view broadcast.

The announcement was made today during NFT.NYC by The NFTYS’ executive producers web3 entrepreneur Chris J. Snook and E! Entertainment Television co-founder Larry Namer.

The NFTY Awards global broadcast will be held in The NIKO Theatre at Worre Studios in Las Vegas, Nevada beginning 5 p.m. PST on June 14, 2023, and will be a live, interactive PPV broadcast with each ticket being commemorated in an NFT with special extras and in-show participation and extras. 

DeFiance Media will replay The NFTY Awards on the weekend following the live broadcast, from June 16-18, via its OTT reach through SlingTV and 165 million homes in key global markets. Comcast affiliate Galaxy Digital Cable will cover the U.S. markets, reaching an additional 28 million homes for a period of three months immediately following the live broadcast. Additional distribution partners will be announced soon.

Ticket tiers for the live and immersive PPV interactive experience range from $19.99 US for Interactive General Admission up to $4,999 US for In Studio Ultra VIP Access. Tickets are available now at the Niko Theatre’s dedicated NFTYS Box Office.

“The NFTYS will celebrate the biggest names and celebrities in the industry,” adds Namer. “The show promises to be dynamic, interactive, and inclusive, and will feature performances by some of today’s top music acts, which we will be announcing in the next few weeks.”

Nominations for The NFTYS will close at 11:59 p.m. EST on April 15, 2023. To be eligible for NFTY Award consideration, nominated candidates must demonstrate one or more of the following: inspire, enable, validate, empower, or unlock the potential, use, or education of people on the vast array of web3 solutions, and the necessity for web3 adoption through their work and project.
