DDB appoints Tomas Gonsorcik as Global Strategy Officer

DDB Worldwide has announced the promotion of Tomas Gonsorcik to the position of Global Chief Strategy Officer.

Formerly serving as Chief Strategy Officer, North America, Gonsorcik will now take on a pivotal role in overseeing the strategy practice across DDB’s extensive global network of creative agencies.

In his elevated position, Gonsorcik will collaborate closely with Alex Lubar, as well as Glen Lomas, Global President & Chief Operating Officer, and Chaka Sobhani, recently appointed President & Chief Creative Officer, International. He will also join DDB’s global leadership team, working alongside global planners and creative teams to inspire creativity that drives positive change in consumer behavior.

Originally from Slovakia, Gonsorcik brings a wealth of experience, having led strategy on global brands such as The Coca-Cola Company, New Balance, The Ford Motor Company, Colgate-Palmolive, and McDonald’s. Since joining DDB in September 2022, he has focused on establishing DDB’s strategic excellence as a universal language for the global planning community, emphasizing emotional advantage, creative impact, and effectiveness.

Gonsorcik has played a significant role in DDB’s commitment to sustainability through its partnership with Parley For The Oceans, where he serves as DDB’s sustainability spokesperson. He is an active member of DDB’s Global Sustainability and AI Councils and has spearheaded the development of proprietary strategic tools that contribute to effective creativity and client growth.
