Just in time for spooky season, Mekanism’s AI Superstudio has resurrected Halloween spirit with a new campaign for Custom Ink that’s equal parts eerie and hilarious.
Titled “Undead Acres,” the 60-second spot imagines a crumbling suburban neighborhood where zombies, vampires, and witches rise from the grave to dress as their favorite humans, decked out in Custom Ink’s personalized apparel and accessories. From “wine mom” mugs to a Karen-approved tracksuit emblazoned with “I WANT TO SPEAK TO YOUR MANAGER,” the campaign celebrates the living and undead alike.
Created, written, and produced entirely through Mekanism’s AI Superstudio, Undead Acres showcases how the agency’s new creative engine merges its Soul & Science philosophy with next-generation AI production tools. Watch below:
“At Custom Ink, we believe in making products that help every group feel unique,” said Ben Carter, Director of Brand and Creative at Custom Ink. “Halloween is the perfect time to celebrate our customers’ creativity — and with AI, we got to bring that to life in a way that’s completely new for us.”
“This campaign is a great example of how AI can enhance—not replace—human creativity,” added Jason Harris, Co-Founder and CEO of Mekanism. “We used AI to build the world and narrative of Undead Acres, but the humor and soul came from our team. The result feels handcrafted and human, even as it pushes into the future.”
The AI Superstudio, which launched earlier this year, is designed to accelerate creative production across Mekanism’s eight North American markets—producing cost-effective, tech-driven campaigns with emotional punch.
The Halloween work follows the studio’s debut project for Advertising Week New York, “Tomorrow Needs You,” which used VEO 3 technology to generate personalized videos for industry speakers and leaders.
Because even in the age of artificial intelligence… it turns out there’s still life after death.
