Los York has expanded its creative leadership with the addition of award-winning designer and motion artist Cian McKenna. Based in Ireland, McKenna brings his expertise in precision-driven, elegant design to the team, enhancing the studio’s capabilities in design and motion.

McKenna, whose work has appeared in major industry publications like Motionographer and Stash Magazine, is recognized for his refined, minimalist aesthetic and has collaborated with brands such as Google, Irish Distillers, and Hublot.

His Emmy-nominated work on the main title sequence for HBO’s White Lotus Season 2 is among his notable achievements. Previously freelancing for a decade, McKenna worked with Los York on campaigns, including a recent Logitech G campaign promoting their Pro X Superlight 2 Dex wireless gaming mouse.

McKenna shared, “I’ve spent years building my freelance business and truly enjoyed the freedom. But after working with LOS YORK over the summer, I realized the team’s energy and creative spirit were just what I was looking for in a new chapter.”

Los York Founder and CEO Seth Epstein praised McKenna’s leadership and team-building abilities, highlighting his “incredible eye” and skill in fostering a collaborative, studio-like atmosphere in remote settings. McKenna joins a formidable creative leadership team at Los York, including Global Creative Director Kevin Cabuli, Director of VFX and Motion Casey Hupke, and Epstein himself, a leading industry figure in commercial direction and motion graphics.

According to Creative Director Scott Hidinger, McKenna’s addition is expected to bring “depth of thinking” and strengthen the studio’s interdisciplinary approach. “Our leadership team collaborates across disciplines,” Hidinger added. “With Cian on board, we’re poised to produce even more unexpected creative outcomes.”

McKenna’s new role will also see him lead workshops and speak on industry panels, contributing to Los York’s commitment to innovation and growth in the commercial and motion design space.
