It’s here DC fans. New Line Cinema has released the first trailer for the long-awaited Black Adam. And it delivers several punches. Actor Dwayne Johnson, shared it on his Twitter today.

“As promised, our world premiere @BlackAdamMovie trailer.

This passion project has become my DNA and the hierarchy of power in the DC Universe will change.

The world needed a hero.
It got BLACK ADAM⚡️

The footage displays Johnson’s superhero physique as the powerful anti-hero who could wipe out Earth in a blink of an eye. We see Teth Adam face off against Hawkman (Aldis Hodge), Doctor Fate (Pierce Brosnan) and Atom Smasher.

The trailer kicks off with Teth Adam’s voice-over, explaining how he died as a slave before being reborn “as a god.” Members of The Justice Society of America are clearly concerned that this god-like antihero could go to the dark side of the force as we see Fate warns Adam that he will either save the world or destroy it.

From there, we get a montage of the JLA in action as Hawkman points out that heroes don’t kill. “Well, I do,” comes Adam’s response. Check out the trailer, new poster and other goodies below:

Johnson stars alongside Aldis Hodge (City on a Hill, One Night in Miami) as Hawkman, Noah Centineo (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before) as Atom Smasher, Sarah Shahi (Sex/Life, Rush Hour 3) as Adrianna, Marwan Kenzari (Murder on the Orient Express, The Mummy) as Ishmael, Quintessa Swindell (Voyagers, Trinkets) as Cyclone, Bodhi Sabongui (A Million Little Things) as Amon, and Pierce Brosnan (Mamma Mia! and James Bond) as Dr. Fate.

Black Adam punches its way into theaters on 21st October 2022.
