Watch the first teaser for Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning

Mission
(Tom Cruise is Ethan Hunt ready)

The Real 360 News team has long held the belief that Tom Cruise and his Mission Impossible partner, writer/director Christopher McQuarrie, have been doing James Bond better than James Bond. As much as we enjoyed Daniel Craig’s last turn as 007 in No Time to Die, the franchise lately just does not hold a candle to the adventures of the IMF (Impossible Missions Force). And now we have proof, in the form of the first trailer from Paramount.

In the new trailer, which debuted during CinemaCon last month, we see Ethan Hunt (Cruise) in full-throttle action being chased across the desert on horseback. This is intercut with boss Eugene Kittredge (Henry Czerny) challenging Ethan to choose a side — controlling the truth or fighting for the greater good.

We then see quick snippets of co-stars Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Esai Morales, Hayley Atwell, and Simon Pegg all in various action set-pieces. Finally, there is a death-defying motorcycle stunt and a cliff. And of course, there is lots of Cruise running. Cruise and McQuarrie are still embracing practical stunts and effects.
