Chad Verly joins Hanson Dodge as GCD

Chad Verly

Hanson Dodge has named Chad Verly as Group Creative Director, a newly created role that reflects the agency’s recent growth and expanded creative workload. Verly most recently served as a Creative Director at Cramer-Krasselt, working across the firm’s Chicago and Milwaukee offices.

In his new position, he will report to Chief Creative Officer Mike Roe and help oversee creative output across a growing roster of clients, including American Standard, PurposeBuilt Brands, Potawatomi Ventures, and Milliman Intelliscript.

Verly represents the first senior creative hire made by Roe since he was named CCO last year. “As our creative portfolio expands, so does the number of creative assignments and need for additional senior guidance and partnership. Chad is multi-dimensional – a designer and art director by trade, but he’s also a writer, illustrator, and editor. I’ve always admired Chad’s insights, along with his ability to craft and concept. His ‘swiss-army-knife’ flexibility, combined with his experience in categories germane to HD, will help us make the next great leaps for our clients,” said Roe.

An award-winning creative leader with more than 20 years of experience, Verly spent the past seven years at Cramer-Krasselt, delivering work for brands including Tropicana, Corona, Cedar Fair, and ECHO Outdoor Power Tools. Prior to that, he held creative leadership roles at Energy BBDO, working on brands such as Ziploc, Raid, Windex, and Alka-Seltzer Plus, and served as a Senior Art Director at Leo Burnett.

Verly began his career at Chicago boutique Hadrian’s Wall, giving him experience across agencies, both independent and publicly owned. His arrival continues the creative transformation underway at Hanson Dodge since Roe joined the agency. Last year, Roe promoted Katherine Schmidt to Creative Director as part of a broader effort to strengthen senior creative leadership.

Verly begins his new role this week. Reel 360 News wishes Chad the best of luck in his new role.
