After watching the transition of Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson from The Falcon into Captain America, the Reel 360 team is salivating at the thought of a big screen adventure of Sam and Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes (aka The Winter Soldier). Over the last six weeks they made The Falcon and The Winter Soldier feel like a modern day Lethal Weapon.
The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Captain America and The Winter Soldier showrunner Malcolm Spellman will pen the screenplay along with Dalan Musson.
Spellman wrote the first and final episodes of the Disney+ series, while Musson penned penultimate episode 5.
A director is not attached yet. And Chris Evans, who reportedly made a deal to return to the MCU, is not confirmed to return. Evans was also quick to deny rumors. The series does it make it very muddy what happened to Steve after passing the shield to Sam.
We would also not mind if SPOILER Wyatt Russell returns as the new U.S. Agent. And we would like to see what Power Broker Sharon Carter (Emily Van Camp) has up her sleeve.
And of course they can’t leave Baron Zemo on the Raft. Or can they?
At any rate, Anthony Mackie just became the most important hero in the MCU. All six episodes of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier are streaming on Disney+
