The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity has officially announced the winners of the 2025 Young Lions Competitions, celebrating three decades of championing emerging creative talent. This year’s showcase of global potential saw nearly 460 young professionals from 67 countries compete across seven categories, with historic first-ever Golds awarded to Turkey in Marketers and Guatemala in Film.
Sponsored by Adobe, the Young Lions Competitions are a cornerstone of the Cannes Lions School, offering participants 48 hours to respond to real-world briefs with ideas that push creative boundaries. Winners were selected by the official Cannes Lions juries during the festival.
“The Young Lions Competitions have pushed emerging talent to think boldly for 30 years now,” said Simon Cook, CEO of LIONS. “This year’s winners reflect not only creative brilliance but global inclusivity and cultural insight. It’s inspiring to see countries returning—and new countries like Turkey and Guatemala making history.”
The 2025 competition also welcomed back teams from Venezuela, Uruguay, and Ukraine, amplifying its message of resilience and international collaboration.
The News Movement returned for a second year as Media Partner, capturing behind-the-scenes moments and elevating the voices of tomorrow’s creative leaders.
“This year’s competition raised the bar once again,” added Lotte Jones, Chief Commercial Officer, The News Movement. “We’re proud to amplify bold, imaginative work from future industry leaders.”
