Acclaimed commercial production company Biscuit Filmworks has announced the addition of directing duo Jocelyn & Dawn to its U.S. roster. Creative partners since 2015, Jocelyn DeBoer and Dawn Luebbe are a Spirit Award-nominated directing team known for their singular visual style and fresh, whip-smart comedy.
“Jocelyn & Dawn bring not only a contagious and original sense of humor, but also a completely assured visual tone that has been refined through their film and TV work. We’re thrilled to welcome them to the Biscuit roster as they expand their talents into advertising,” shared Shawn Lacy, Co-Founder and Managing Director at Biscuit.
Jocelyn & Dawn’s debut feature film Greener Grass premiered at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival and earned critical accolades, including being called “the most pleasant surprise of this year’s Sundance” by Variety and placing the pair on IndieWire’s list of 25 Rising Female Directors to Know. Greener Grass was distributed theatrically by IFC and is currently streaming on Hulu.

Jocelyn & Dawn have also directed multiple episodes of TruTV’s Adam Ruins Everything, and have written and produced three short films which have collectively screened in over 70 film festivals worldwide and earned numerous awards, including a writing award at the 2017 SXSW Film Festival.
The duo met through their sketch and improv work at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, where they have each been mainstage performers for over a decade.
