Former Snap chief strategy officer Imran Khan has officially launched Verishop, an enhanced e-commerce platform that combines quality curation and discovery with the convenience consumers have come to expect.

The e-commerce platform is reportedly on a mission to “bring joy back to online shopping” for quality-conscious millennial shoppers. Khan, who worked in the banking industry for a decade before he joined Snap, is being helped in this effort by his wife, Cate Khan, who worked at Quidsi when it was owned by Amazon and cosmetics giant Avon.

“Verishop has an incredible vision for the future of retail, and the team’s ambition was contagious,” said Greg Beauchamp, founder of Bindery. “Working with a brand pre-launch is always exciting because we’re able to help craft the visual expression of the brand. It’s a different type of brief, and Verishop proved to be incredible partners as we developed a launch film that felt uniquely theirs.”

In many ways, the video helps position Verishop as a high-end and online version of a department store, which separates it from actual brick and mortar department stores that are struggling.
