Betty has announced the return of Kirstin Stahl as its new Group Creative Director (GCD) for its design-focused practice, Favorite Child. In her new position, Stahl will report to Veronica Padilla, Vice President and Head of Design, and will play a pivotal role in driving the momentum of Favorite Child’s brand and packaging design offerings.

Stahl’s role encompasses overseeing design projects for a variety of clients, including leading a significant packaging system design project for a major national grocery retailer.

Stahl is a seasoned design industry veteran with over two decades of experience. She previously worked at Betty (then called Periscope) as a Creative Director for nearly six years before venturing into freelance work. Her portfolio includes work for well-known consumer brands such as Target and Walgreens, and she has received numerous industry recognitions from AdFed, AIGA, and Graphis. Now, as Group Creative Director, Stahl is set to lead cohesive design developments that encompass all brand touchpoints, while also ensuring that brands seamlessly integrate into consumers’ lives.

Stahl is excited to rejoin the company, saying, “The company culture of Betty and Favorite Child is one I already know and admire… I’m excited to be back and am looking forward to partnering with our teams to develop people-first strategic design solutions that build brand love.”

Favorite Child, established just two years ago, has experienced rapid growth, with 44 new hires in 2024 alone across various departments. The agency is focusing on expanding its creative, strategic, project management, and studio capabilities.

This comes after a significant transformation in May 2024, when Quad consolidated all of its creative business units under one entity, emphasizing a commitment to strategy, design, creative, and content services. Padilla believes that Stahl’s return will help continue to fuel this growth, saying, “Kirstin’s passion for design… will help us continue to create meaningful work for our clients.”

Stahl’s extensive experience and innovative approach will further solidify Favorite Child’s position as a leader in brand design, providing creative solutions that are tailored to both the clients’ needs and the consumers’ lifestyles.

Reel 360 News wishes Kirsten the best of luck at Betty.
