The latest trailer for Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice Beetlejuice has been released, offering a deeper look into the much-anticipated sequel. Featuring Michael Keaton reprising his role as the mischievous Beetlejuice, the trailer showcases Burton’s signature style with an emphasis on practical effects.

The film also brings back Stranger Things’ Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz and introduces Jenna Ortega as Lydia’s daughter, Astrid.

The sequel picks up decades after the original 1988 film. Following an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return to their home in Winter River. Lydia, still haunted by Beetlejuice, faces upheaval when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the model of the town in the attic and inadvertently opens a portal to the Afterlife. The revived ghoul brings chaos, blending the living and the dead in classic Burton fashion. Watch the trailer below and don’t say his name three times:

Warner Bros. describes the sequel as follows:

Beetlejuice is back! After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened. With trouble brewing in both realms, it’s only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice’s name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem.”

  • Jenna Ortega as Astrid, Lydia’s daughter
