Music gets its moment of evolution in a fun, high-energy new campaign from Battery for Splice, the platform powering music creation for millions of producers worldwide.
With the launch of Splice INSTRUMENT, the brand’s newest virtual instrument, Splice is leveling up from sample library to creative companion. Built in collaboration with Spitfire Audio, INSTRUMENT features more than 1,200 playable presets and intuitive controls designed to help creators shape their sound—not just find it.
To introduce the product, Battery created a hero film titled “You Heard You Here First,” a dope celebration of that defining moment when a music creator stops imitating and starts innovating. The spot taps into Splice’s ethos of “by musicians, for musicians,” featuring a cast of actual Splice employees, including Grammy-winning producer John Smythe. Watch below:
“Every artist remembers that turning point when their work finally sounds like them,” said Scott Brown, Executive Creative Director at Battery. “We built this campaign to celebrate that journey. Splice INSTRUMENT doesn’t just give creators sounds—it gives them the freedom to make something unmistakably their own.”
Jeff Roberto, SVP Marketing at Splice, added, “Splice INSTRUMENT marks a major milestone for Splice. Moving from samples into full virtual, playable instruments meant we needed to expand our brand position and shift our messaging. We appreciated the time and thought Battery put into helping us bring a new world to life for our customers.”
The campaign repositions Splice as a true creative partner, highlighting how INSTRUMENT puts the power of professional production directly in the hands of every creator. It also reflects the platform’s evolution—from the go-to sample library for beatmakers to a versatile tool suite built for the next generation of producers.
Featuring cinematic visuals, lush textures, and an unapologetic love of experimentation, “You Heard You Here First” is a call to every musician who’s ever stayed up too late chasing that elusive sound only they could make.
The national campaign is rolling out across CTV, OLV, social, and web, spotlighting how Splice continues to evolve as the creative backbone for modern music-makers.
