Apple is starting 2026 by reframing the New Year’s resolution narrative, positioning Apple Watch as a tool for consistency rather than hype. A new campaign from Apple’s in-house team and Iconoclast’s Alaska challenges people to “Quit Quitting,” just as many fitness goals begin to unravel.
The work arrives strategically around Quitter’s Day, the second Friday in January, when motivation typically collapses. Across three 15-second films titled Stool, Bed, and Recliner, the campaign visualizes the quiet battle between effort and comfort.
A barstool chases a jogger past a restaurant.
A mattress follows an early morning runner down the street.
A recliner becomes a literal obstacle as someone pushes to finish a workout.
In each spot, the moment of doubt is interrupted by a glance at the Apple Watch, as progress rings close and milestones come into focus.
The message is simple and grounded in behavior. Motivation fades, but visible progress can carry people through. Apple backs that idea with new findings from the Apple Heart and Movement Study, which tracked nearly 100,000 participants over four years. The data shows Apple Watch users are more likely to maintain consistent exercise habits through Quitter’s Day and beyond.
As the world’s most popular watch, Apple Watch continues to lean into actionable insights rather than aspirational promises. From workout tracking across running, cycling, and swimming to Activity challenges, training load metrics, sleep data, and heart health insights, the device is designed to support long term habits, not just January intentions.
The campaign launched in the U.S., with a broader international rollout planned across broadcast, social, and display.
