Annovera, Whitney Cummings open up about vaginas

(Whitney Cummings talks vaginas for Annovera)

Annovera loves vaginas! To celebrate Vagina Appreciation Day on Friday April 23, the makers of the birth control brand Annovera, (egesterone acetate and ethinyl estradiol vaginal system) are encouraging women to stop being shy and apologetic when it comes to talking about their vagina and vagina health.

In other words, we’re well into the 21st century, so enough with the PG-13 language.

Annovera, and our friends at McCann New York, want women to speak and live unapologetically… as women. And who better to speak candidly about vagina pleasure than the very funny comedian Whitney Cummings?

In the spot below, Cummings is direct, self-assured and approachable as she encourages women to appreciate their vaginas. What’s the best way to appreciate your vagina? Have an orgasm. Take a look directed by Carlyn Hudson:

On April 23, Cummings will kick off a day of self-discovery and empowerment with a call to action—quite literally—encouraging women to celebrate with whoever/whatever they like, wherever and whenever they’re most comfortable.

Annovera has created Instagram posts, story stickers, and will post a video from Cummings, encouraging people to celebrate. And for those that do? Therapeutics MD will donate $1 to organizations working to support women’s health and education initiatives, up to $50,000.
