Alkemy X hires Venantini as VP of Business Development

(Venantini joins Alkemy X)

Victoria Venantini has joined award-winning global entertainment company Alkemy X as VP of Business Development. Bringing extensive business development experience across post production and live action, she fuses an eye for talent with a forward-facing perspective on the changing creative needs of the content space.

In her new role, she will oversee business development for Alkemy X’s expanding animation and design work, building upon the growth in 2020 spurred by the hire of award-winning Creative Director Rupert Cresswell, formerly of MPC.

In addition to continuing to grow Alkemy X’s agency work, she will further the company’s offerings in the brand-direct and gaming spaces. Venantini is based in Los Angeles, but will cover national business development, drawing from her extensive experience in both the East and West Coast markets.

The addition comes on the heels of a paramount year for Alkemy X, which despite adversities spurred by the COVID-19 pandemic has continued to grow its creative and leadership teams with key hires and nimble adaptation to shifts in industry workflow.

Prior to joining Alkemy X, Venantini led the expansion of Mill+ to the West Coast. She has handled business development both in-house and as an independent rep for top industry shops including Beast Editorial, RSA Films, Smoke & Mirrors and Moxie Pictures.

“At Alkemy X, our entire team has rallied their collective creativity, experience and nimble approach to not only sustain our business during the pandemic, but continue to push new boundaries and extend into new markets,” notes Alkemy X President & CEO Justin Wineburgh. “Throughout her career, Victoria has maintained a consistent eye towards innovation and the ever-changing creative content needs of brands.  Victoria is phenomenal, and I’m thrilled to have her join the Alkemy X family, where she fits like a glove and will readily bolster our robust business development strategy.”

“Alkemy X’s forward-thinking structure delivers a wide range of offerings that readily address the rapidly evolving needs of the advertising and content spaces,” adds Venantini. “The agency model is shifting and I’m excited to join a team at the forefront of the industry that is so focused on creative solutions. Alkemy X’s robust capabilities paired with its nimble approach is essential for the future of the content space.”

Coming from a family steeped in the film and television industries, Venantini was drawn to the production industry from a young age. Learning the ropes of production hands-on, she immersed herself into the process of creating commercials, music videos and longer form content while working as a director’s assistant.

She organically shifted to the business development side of the industry, playing an instrumental role in the launch of PS260, handling sales and marketing strategies. She expanded to the independent sales representation space with CAM MGMT and Holbrook MGMT before spending four years with RSA Films handling the production company’s east coast sales and directorial roster. She joined Free Agents in 2016 as an executive sales agent focusing on live action and content-driven opportunities across all media platforms.
