Former 30 Rock star, Alec Baldwin, found himself in a heated altercation at a New York City coffee shop when an anti-Israel protester repeatedly demanded that he shout, “Free Palestine.”

The incident unfolded at Maman on University Place. The protester, identified by the New York Post as Crackhead Barney, approached Baldwin, urging him to say, “Free Palestine.” She hosts an “anti-fascist” show called Crackhead Barney & Friends.

In the video, Crackhead Barney can be heard demanding, “Alec, can you please say, ‘Free Palestine’ one time?” She continued, “F–k Israel, f–k Zionism.”

Despite Baldwin’s attempts to avoid confrontation, she persisted, saying, “’Free Palestine,’ Alec, just one time, and I’ll leave you alone.”

The situation escalated when she brought up Baldwin’s involvement in the 2021 fatal shooting of Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Special prosecutors dismissed an involuntary manslaughter charge against Baldwin in April 2023, but he was indicted in January following new evidence. He has denied responsibility. Watch below:

“Why did you kill that lady? You killed that lady and got no jail time,” the protester accused Baldwin, calling him a “criminal.”

As tensions rose, Alec Baldwin gestured for the woman to leave the shop before ultimately slapping her phone out of her hand. This isn’t the first time Baldwin has found himself amid an anti-Israel protest. In December, he was involved in a similar incident.

The incident underscores the actor’s ongoing legal and public relations challenges following the tragic shooting on the set of Rust and the subsequent legal proceedings. It also highlights the contentious and emotionally charged nature of discussions around the Israel-Palestine conflict.
