Today, at Star Wars Celebration in London, Disney+ and Lucasfilm unveiled the thrilling teaser trailer for the highly anticipated Disney+ original series Ahsoka, starring Rosario Dawson in the title role.
Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows the former Jedi knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.
Dawson unveiled a teaser poster for the series and was then joined onstage by co-stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo, who plays Sabine Wren, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who announced she plays Hera Syndulla. Both are fan favorites. Eman Esfandi is also on board as Ezra Bridger, but he doesn’t feature in this trailer.
In the footage, Ahsoka reunites with Star Wars Rebels characters Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) and Chopper the droid. We also get a quick glimpse of Rebels villain Grand Admiral Thrawn (who is positioned as the “Heir to the Empire”).
The blue-skinned threat won’t be the only challenge our rebels face. Ray Stevenson (The Punisher, Thor movies) wields a red lightsaber and a good ol’ fashioned force choke. Watch below:
