The American Advertising Federation (AAF) is proud to reveal the honorees for the 2024 Mosaic Awards, presented by SiriusXM.
This prestigious event, which celebrates excellence in multicultural advertising and advancements in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), will take place on September 26, 2024, at Guastavino’s in New York City. Hosting the event will be Crissle West, the acclaimed cultural commentator and co-host of the popular podcast The Read.
This year’s Mosaic Awards introduces two new categories that spotlight significant achievements in fostering inclusivity within the advertising industry. The Agency of the Year award will recognize a majority minority-owned agency that has demonstrated outstanding dedication to creating inclusive environments.
Walton Isaacson will be the inaugural honoree in this category. Additionally, the Mosaic Center Guardian Award will honor an individual who has significantly supported the AAF’s Mosaic Center and its programs. This year’s recipient is Jeff Marshall, Principal of Marshall Media, recognized for his exceptional advocacy and leadership in advancing the Mosaic Center’s mission.
“The introduction of these new awards reflects the changing landscape of our industry and the importance of honoring those making an impactful difference,” said Candace D. Queen, Executive Vice President of the AAF’s Mosaic Center. “We are thrilled to have Crissle West as our host this year, bringing her unique voice and perspective to the event.”

For the first time, the 2024 Mosaic Awards introduced a jury president to the selection process, with Kai Weidie, SVP of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at dentsu, taking on this role. Weidie’s leadership helped ensure the judging process focused not only on creativity but also on the cultural relevance and impact of each campaign. The panel of judges included top talent from agencies and brands such as Meta, FCB, BBDO, Wieden+Kennedy, and Omnicom Media Group.
“A jury president adds a level of consistency and insight to the judging process,” Queen explained. “Kai Weidie’s leadership was invaluable in guiding the panel to ensure each entry was evaluated through a consistent, culturally-focused lens.”
