
The 15th Annual Guild of Music Supervisors Awards took place Sunday night (2/23) at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles, celebrating the best in music supervision and songwriting. Among the evening’s feature film winners were Wicked, A Complete Unknown, I Saw the TV Glow, and Sing Sing, while television category winners included Baby Reindeer, English Teacher, and Agatha All Along.
Legendary composer and lyricist Stephen Schwartz was honored with the Icon Award in recognition of his contributions to music and film. Schwartz performed Beautiful City from his musical Godspell, receiving a standing ovation. Music producer and supervisor Bonnie Greenberg was presented with the Legacy Award for her illustrious career in music supervision, while EA Games executive and music supervisor Steve Schnur took home two wins for his work on EA Sports FC 25 and Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
The ceremony featured live performances from nominees for Best Song, keeping with the event’s tradition. Oscar nominees Abraham Alexander & Adrian Quesada performed Like a Bird from Sing Sing, which won Best Song Written and/or Recorded for a Film. Danielle Ponder delivered a stirring rendition of Egún from Apple TV’s Manhunt, and Spotlight artist Role Model energized the crowd with Sally, When The Wine Runs Out.
