In a last-minute turn of events, TNT has decided not to produce The Deep Mad Dark, a TV pilot that was slated to begin shooting at Chicago Cinespace Studios in October.
The decision was made Friday night, a day after the show’s impending arrival was reported in ReelChicago on August 24.
On Saturday, Cinespace CEO Alex Pissios expressed optimism that the deal will happen at some point in the future.
During an exclusive conversation with ReelChicago yesterday, Cincespace CEO Alex Pissios informed publisher Barbara Roche and editor Daniel Patton that the pilot for TNT’s The Deep Mad Dark will begin production at the Chicago studio this fall.
“They’re moving into offices September 11, shooting in October,” he said. “It’s a done deal.”
