Spoilers ahead for Yellowjackets Season 3, Episode 10, “Full Circle.” After years of fan theories and cryptic visions, Yellowjackets delivered a brutal and revealing Season 3 finale that finally brings clarity to some of the show’s most disturbing mysteries. The dual timelines — one in the 1990s wilderness, the other in the present day — collided in emotionally explosive ways, resolving plot points that have been simmering since Season 1.
Here are the five biggest revelations from the Yellowjackets Season 3 finale — and how they reshape everything we thought we knew.
1. Pit Girl’s Identity Is Revealed

It’s official: the infamous “Pit Girl” from the pilot episode is Mari Ibarra (Alexa Barajas). Long suspected and finally confirmed, Mari becomes the group’s sacrificial prey after a rigged Queen of Hearts draw leads to her doom. In a shocking turn, Shauna (Sophie Nélisse) swaps the cards to protect newcomer Hannah, unknowingly sealing Mari’s fate.
Mari attempts to mislead the group by shedding her clothes and disappearing into the woods barefoot — explaining the stripped-down figure we first saw in Season 1. But she falls into a spiked pit set by Travis, becoming the latest victim of the group’s descent into ritualistic cannibalism.
2. Lottie’s Killer Is… Callie

In the present day, all eyes were on Shauna (Melanie Lynskey) as Lottie’s (Simone Kessell) death cast suspicion. But it was her daughter, Callie Sadecki (Sarah Desjardins), who delivered the fatal blow — literally.
In a tense basement confrontation, Lottie suggests that Callie was “born of the wilderness,” claiming Shauna could never fully love her. Overwhelmed and terrified, Callie pushes Lottie down the stairs, killing her. She keeps the secret until Misty (Christina Ricci) uncovers the truth in the finale. It’s a turning point for Callie, who confides in her father, Jeff (Warren Kole), in one of the show’s most human moments.
3. The Original Antler Queen Is… Shauna

The show has teased the identity of the Antler Queen for three seasons — and it’s finally confirmed to be Shauna. Season 3 built toward this shift, showing Shauna’s rising power and influence after Natalie (Sophie Thatcher) is ousted as the group’s leader.
From spitting in Mari’s soup to demanding her hair as tribute, Shauna’s transformation is complete. Her gruesome evolution is made clear in the season finale: she wears the antlers, claims dominion over the group, and steps fully into her role as the Queen of the wilderness.
4. The Key to Their Rescue Was a Satellite Phone

The long-running mystery of how the Yellowjackets were rescued finally gets an answer: a fixed satellite phone.
Teen Misty (Samantha Hanratty) uses the plane’s black box transponder to repair a satellite phone brought in by newcomers Hannah, Edwin, and Kodiak. While Shauna thinks Natalie is still participating in the hunt, Natalie has swapped clothes with Hannah and climbs a nearby ridge to make the call that will lead to their eventual rescue.
Though we don’t see the rescue itself, the implication is clear: the call goes through. Help is coming. Civilization is within reach — even as the survivors remain psychologically stuck in the wilderness.
5. Akilah’s Visions Were Manipulated — By Her

Akilah (Nia Sondaya) has a vision of dead animals, seemingly a dark omen from the wilderness. But the truth is more twisted: she poisons the animals herself to make the vision come true, justifying the group’s need for another hunt.
Later, Akilah confronts Lottie, furious at how her faith was manipulated. Her arc underlines one of the show’s most haunting questions: Is the wilderness real — or is it just what they’ve made of it?
Yellowjackets Season 3 doesn’t just answer long-standing mysteries — it deepens the show’s central tension between belief and survival, delusion and destiny. With a potential rescue on the horizon and Shauna fully embracing her Antler Queen role, Season 4 is poised to push both timelines — and the characters — to even darker extremes.
Stay tuned, because in the world of Yellowjackets, nothing stays buried for long. All episodes of Yellowjackets are currently streaming on Paramount+ with the Showtime package.
