We’re now only one week away from the film we’ve all been waiting for – Spider-Man: No Way Home. Rumors have said that the third in the Home trilogy picks up right where Spider-Man: Far From Home‘s mid-credits scene left off and that seems to be the case in the first clip released by Sony.
Here, Peter (Tom Holland) is outed by DailyBugle.com’s J. Jonah Jameson (J.K. Simmons reprising the role) and that’s now been confirmed in the first clip from the movie.
In the first Spider-Man: No Way Home clip, the crowd reacts and surrounds MJ (Zendaya), Peter’s girlfriend. Spidey jumps in to protect her from the group and swings her to safety… sort of. While the two swing haphazardly through the city, we get a couple of dope Hawkeye Easter Eggs, we won’t say what.
But this shows the events in this film are taking place at the same time as The Disney+ series WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, What If? and Hawkeye.

Hot on the heels of this Spider-Man: No Way Home clip, Sony released a second one featuring Peter taking on the other universe’s Doc Ock, played by Alfred Molina. In the clip released by IGN, we get to see that “Hello, Peter” moment, complete with Danny Elfman’s theme and a reference to his “machine” from Spider-Man 2. Watch below:
Otto Octavius is one of the many villains from past Spider-Man films who will return in No Way Home. Also appearing will be Electro (Jamie Foxx), Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), Sandman and Lizard. There is a possibility Venom will be the sixth villain to make up the iconic Sinister Six.
“For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero’s identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk,” reads the new synopsis. “When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.”
Directed by Jon Watts from a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, No Way Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, J.B. Smoove, Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Benedict Wong, Benedict Cumberbatch, Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx, with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield heavily rumored to appear.
Spider-Man: No Way Home will THWAP! theaters on December 17, 2021.
